Amazing song Strykur! I like what you did with the drop, those basses sound great. However, I think you can make the lead and voice quieter to emphasize the bass during the drop.

Another thing, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get those drum samples, and can I have them?

Lubloom responds:

Thanks! I made the basses from scratch using some wavetables that I had lying around so I'm glad they worked out :) I think I overdid it a bit with the more melodic elements in places so I'd agree with you there :P

I got most of my drum samples from a random pack my friend sent me a year or so ago. I don't have the download link as the discord server he sent me it on has since been deleted, but they are a compilation of samples that artists like Virtual Riot and Au5 use and the whole folder is called "Important Drums", if that's any help. The snare used in this is a layered snare, but the main layer is a sample I bought off of splice called "XIL_snare3"

I see you have fixed some problems since your previous songs. The volume is much better, though some parts can still be a bit louder.
The drop is heavier, but it is rather repetitive. I would suggest use a few different dubstep sounds, preferrably one of them have a harder bass punch, like some in your older songs.
Other than that, I would say the main verse is beautifully made, and the buildup is not bad as well.
Final score: 3.5/5
Keep it up!

Lubloom responds:

Yeah I noticed that the volume still isn't that great, I'm trying out some different compression plugins now because the multiband dynamics from Ableton isn't cutting it on it's own.

Drop was supposed to be a bit more riddim-y, which is where the repetitiveness came from, but looking back now I think I should have just gone for a brostep feel. All of the sounds were made using the Proc:squarify algorithm in serum which made them really screechy and less bassy which was not a particularly great idea.

Thanks! I wasn't actually too sure on the main verse (I loved the tom fills) so that is good to hear!
:)

Very nice work there. I really like the main verse, especially the drums and the vocal chops. Although the drop may be underwhelming to some people, I think it is very beautiful. However, some parts of the song is not loud enough, and compression would be great. Regardless, well done Strykur!

Lubloom responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the drop, I was a bit conflicted when I made it but it's nice to hear that. I think the main verse would have been better if the song was more compressed, which is just something I have to get used to now that I've switched DAW.

I like the drums you put into it. It gives a professional feeling. Also, the mixing is not bad, though the bass at the drop could be much louder. Other than that, this is a pretty good song.
P.S. remember me?

Lubloom responds:

I think that without the drums the song wouldn't be the same.
Yeah I sidechained the bass wayy too hard and it was already low volume to begin with.
And yes I remember you, it's been a long time buddy ;)

The instruments and percussion are detailed, but keeping the traditional Chinese beats. However, I think the drop can be more complex, and maybe a bit more Chinese. Other than that, its absolutely amazing. I'd rate 9/10 :)

Tennon responds:

Lol thanks for the detailed review lol, i'll make a more complex drop in my next song!

You remind me of how terrible I am at making music. Nice :)

Lubloom responds:

Don't you dare put yourself down! You have a talent in making music, you just haven't got the resources to put it into action yet.
Thanks for the kind words though <3

Didn't really think I deserve to be credited. Because, you know, I did basically nothing. Still a very new track.
However, I think the main theme can be shorter and not repeated. Then you could include a second drop or sth like that...

Tennon responds:

Wtf I forgot to respond to you... Yes I think that a second drop is really necessary, and also the theme is repetitive as fuck. Ill probably make a VIP

Doesn't really sound like the original Sine Wavs, but the dubstep wobbles are pretty original, and basically a very creative remix of one of NK's best tracks.

Tennon responds:

Yeah, it is a melodic version
